Privacy and what we scan

The short version, in six facts. The full policy at majirshop.com/privacy is always the authoritative version.

Reviewed and approved

When you connect an inbox, you sign in through OAuth. OAuth is the sign-in system that Google and Microsoft themselves own and run: you type your password on their page, never ours, and they control exactly what an app is allowed to ask for.

Before Google or Microsoft let any app read mail through OAuth, they put it through their own app review and security verification. Majir has passed both. That approval is the reason Majir can check your inboxes at all, and it means the read-only promise below is enforced by them, not just by us.

Six facts

Read-only access

Majir can read email to find offers. It never sends, deletes, or moves your email.

What we scan

Recent promotional email, filtered by shopping-related keywords. Majir reads offer text and the text inside offer images.

What we pull out

The brand, value, expiry, and coupon code. That becomes a money move in your wallet.

Encryption

Your sign-in tokens are stored encrypted.

Who can see your offers

Your personal offers are visible only to you. They are never shown to merchants or other users.

How to revoke

Disconnect in the app under Manage inboxes, or revoke Majir's access from your Google or Microsoft account security settings at any time.

This page is a summary. For the full details, read the complete policy at majirshop.com/privacy. If anything here seems to differ from the full policy, the full policy is the authoritative version.
